Violinist to host concert at Terenure guest house
The organisers hope that the Le Chateau GIG will become a home for top artists
ZANTA Hofmeyr, a well-known violinist, will be the guest artist at the Le Chateau GIG on Wednesday, February 22, starting at 7pm.
Situated on the original old farm of Terenure in Kempton Park, Le Chateau Guest House & Conference Centre, with its Cape Dutch-style guest house and beautiful garden, is hosting this new event. The address is 62 Abel Street, Terenure.
The organisers hope that the Le Chateau GIG will become a home for top artists who perform for audiences that are passionate about classical music.
Zanta is one of South Africa’s most renowned violinists. In April 2011 she was nominated as Best Female Performer at the KKNK National Arts Festival, and her CD, Cantilena, was nominated for a SAMA award in the category Best Popular Classical Album.
She is the recipient of numerous awards, scholarships and bursaries. She was awarded a Rapport/City Press Woman of the Year award (2004) and the ATKV Afrikoon award (2005).
Tickets for the concert cost R150, including a light meal (lasagne, salad and bread rolls).
