Child welfare hosts gala evening to raise much needed funds

Child welfare is currently experiencing huge financial challenges

CHILD Welfare Kempton Park will host a fund-raising gala dinner on October 28.

The purpose of this event is to raise funds that will enable the organisation to extend its services to the children who are abused, neglected, abandoned, trafficked and sometimes used as prostitutes and drug peddlers.

Currently, 2 000 children, their families and communities in Kempton Park and the neighbouring informal settlements are assisted by the organisation.

Child welfare is currently experiencing huge financial challenges and without the support of the community and other stakeholders it will be impossible to achieve its vision and mission which is mainly child protection (0-12 years).

The organisation invites the community, businesses and private sector to support its cause. Tickets are being sold at R300 and R500 VIP.

Corporates can also purchase tables at R5 000 which they can customise according to their brands.

The event will be held at the ORTambo Aviator Hotel, Kempton Park from 6pm.

For more information, call Singathwa Malunga or Boitumelo Seanego on 078 453 6194 or 011 970 1814.
