Sithole showcases his art in Springs
The exhibition will run until 12 midday on December 22
PAT Sithole of KwaThema in Springs, will be showcasing his artwork in the Springs Art Gallery, starting from November 4 under his solo theme,‘Slice of Life’.
His works will include paintings, figurines and assemblages.
Through his artwork, Sithole is able to explore how people in townships relate to each other. His art is based on his life experiences in a township.
This will be an exhibition largely influenced by township life and its vibrancy. Sithole has developed his own individual style of mark-making, by using soft pastel on canvas and paper.
His work holds many meanings such as the interpretation of the past, present and future as continuous events.
“I am captivated by the vibrancy and brilliance of colours and light,” Sithole said.
The exhibition will run until 12 midday on December 22.
