Radio Raps unpacks life’s ups and downs at the Big Top Arena

Dingetjies en Goetertjies follows the success of his previous one-man production

RADIO Raps, also known as Jonathan vanaf die Oos-Rand, is on home soil in December to deliver his latest one man show, Dingetjies en Goetertjies, to his local fans. He will unpack the ups and downs of everyday life in his characteristic comical style at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on December 2.

He promises to have the audience screaming with laughter as he analyses everyday goodies and things and tries to make sense of life’s little irritations.

Known for phrases such as “Lekker boys”, “Da vat hy”, “Okeey” en “Olraait”, Jonathan van die Oos-Rand emerged on the local entertainment scene when online radio station, Radio Raps posted some of his original material on Youtube. The clips received more than three million views within eight months.

Now he fills venues across the country and has made a number of television appearances. In August 2014, he released his first CD, Da Vat Hy – Volume 1, featuring his most popular jokes and stories as well as new material.

In 2015, a DVD of his successful Life 101 show was released and has reached gold status. A second live performance, Life 201, was also recorded and released on DVD in 2016.

Dingetjies en Goetertjies follows the success of his previous one-man production, Laat ek Jou So Sê, and is jam-packed with new, original material.

The show is age restricted 16 and will start at 8pm. Tickets are R150 a person at Computicket.
