Makhulong DJ releases his debut single

A Makhulong DJ has released his debut single titled Izinja featuring The Gambler.

Inert The DJ embarked on producing his own project after he had success and experienced deejaying at major clubs in Johannesburg.

He was a resident DJ at various clubs in Braamfontein including Anti-Est, Great Dane, Riccados, Baqt Wits, Wits RAG and UJ RAG.

Thabang Thapelo “Inert The DJ” Letlojane has finally produced his own work after making a name for himself in these Johannesburg clubs.

He has worked with then prospective industry geniuses and today’s prominent artists like Maraza and Ambitious Entertainment producer, Christer Mofenyi Kobedi.

“I am currently an independent unsigned artist and a very dedicated producer/visual artist.

“I am a multifunctional, unique brand and can do those skills effectively.

“I am very determined and ready to offer something great in the industry,” said Inert The DJ.

He matriculated in 2010 and tried to pursue a career in mechanical engineering by studying at Wits University in 2011.

After unfortunate financial constraints in 2014, Inert The DJ took a gap year which meant he had to hold a few temporary jobs.

In 2015 he went back to studying and enrolled for his first year in mechanical engineering at the University of Johannesburg.

“At the time I was surrounded by DJs in Braamfontein and that is where I realised I was an artistic character.

“I learned digital production back in 2012 and in 2015 recorded vocalised material. After another unsuccessful run academically in 2015, I became a versatile club DJ around Braamfontein and surrounding areas like Monte Casino.”

This entire journey has toughened Inert The DJ and enabled him to hone his artistic skills as a musician.
