Local artists to display their talent
The exhibition which will be open for the entire February organised by the City of Ekurhuleni's Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, will give local artists an opportunity to showcase their talent.
Artists in Tembisa and around Ekurhuleni North will be exhibiting their artwork at the Moses Molelekwa Art Centre during the Ekurhuleni North Artists exhibition.
The exhibition which will be open for the entire February organised by the City of Ekurhuleni’s Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, will give local artists an opportunity to showcase their talent.
This is a rare opportunity for art teachers, aspiring artists and seasoned artists from Kempton Park, Tembisa, Edenvale and Bedfordview to showcase their artwork since Ekurhuleni does not have a major gallery in the likes of the Johannesburg Art Gallery.
This will, in turn, open up opportunities to have their work sold and displayed in local and national galleries.
It is a group art exhibition of paintings, mixed media, collages and sculptures by artists from the North.
The artists hope and believe that through such initiatives, they stand an opportunity of being recognised by art lovers and collectors alike.
The exhibition opens on February 3 to 28, at the Moses Molelekwa Art Centre at 2 pm.
