Season two of Love and Matrimony has been launched

Khumalo told the champagne-sipping crowd that she never thought she would be chosen to host a TV show

Musician Kelly Khumalo could not choose a better time to launch the second season of her show Love and Matrimony than this month of love.

Dressed in a white body suit covered in pearls, she was the image of romance and she welcomed guests to a red-themed rooftop party at Eloff Street, Johannesburg, Monday evening. Here, a jazz band entertained the glamorous crowd, who was torn between looking at the breathtaking view of the city’s lights and the shirtless male models serving drinks.

Khumalo told the champagne-sipping crowd that she never thought she would be chosen to host a TV show. “I’m a performer!” she laughed, “Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be doing this.”

In season two of the love-themed show, Khumalo interviews some of South Africa’s best entertainers, ranging from singers to actresses. Some of the famous faces that viewers can look forward to include afro-soul artist Candy Tsamandebele, actress Phindile Gwala with her model boyfriend Armando Ngandu, and soulful singer Afrotraction.

The show, according to a press statement, celebrates love. Khumalo will chat to these celebrities about their love lives, marriage, break-ups and challenges that they go through in their relationships. Love and Matrimony season two will start airing on February 24, 2018, at 7.30pm on GauTV channel 265.
