The Easter weekend is a festive celebration of togetherness and family-styled fun at Carnival City.
The outdoor Pocket Park will be a hive of activity for little people from March 30 to April 2.
Between 11am and 7pm daily, kids can meet the Easter Bunny, collect their complimentary Beacon marshmallow egg, have their faces painted, decorate eggs and enjoy entertainment by Easter performers.
Buoyed by the great response to the Ski Rink during the 2017 school holidays, Carnival City is bringing it back to the Pocket Park for the Easter break. On Easter Sunday, April 1, there will be frenzied egg hunts at noon and 3pm.
Carnival City’s Pocket Park is an exciting, grassed children’s outdoor play area with modern climbing frames. There is no cost to climb and play in the Pocket Park.
Other highlights of the Easter weekend entertainment lineup include three spectacular shows by South Africa’s biggest and best loved gospel ensembles, MTN Joyous Celebration at the Big Top Arena on March 30 and 31, and April 1. Tickets are available at Computicket.
South Africa’s elastic-faced, king of clean comedy, Barry Hilton, is also in the house over the Easter weekend at the Mardi Gras Theatre on March 30 and 31. Tickets are available at Computicket.
Other family-friendly entertainment to enjoy at Carnival City includes laser games, go-karting, arcade games and ten pin bowling. Outdoor activities include rides for smaller children and carnival stalls where youngsters can take a stab at winning prizes.
