‘Steak’ your spot at the Fire and Feast Meat Festival
The festival also includes a wine tasting area, gin bar, craft beer bar, live entertainment daily and a range of exhibitions
Joburg’s Ticketpro Dome is set to feature this year’s hottest event, the Fire & Feast Meat Festival presented by Crown National, which gets fired up from June 8 to 10.
This year’s festival hosts a line-up of culturally diverse chefs, each chosen for their talent and expertise in taste and technique.
This proudly South African weekend-long love affair of meat, fire, braais and music promises to be the event of the year for all discerning diners, foodies, braai-masters, butchers and industry experts.
Take a gander at the art of meat preparation as the country’s best butchers go head-to-head in the National Butcher’s Challenge presented by Crown National.
At Fire & Feast, there is something for every meat lover. Visit dedicated meat theatres for all you need to know about each speciality meat; The Sparta Beef Theatre, County Fair Poultry Theatre, The SAPPO Pork Tasting Room and The Lamb & Mutton SA Theatre. Sample the best quality meat, prepared in the best way, while the experts discuss the best cuts and preparations for every occasion.
Step outdoors into Braaitology where industry chefs will prepare and cook dishes right in front of you, on the most universal and diverse Chad-O-Chef braais. You can sample as many tasters as you like using BraaiBucks to redeem the dishes.
Then step over to Craftology where you can douse the flames with a range of craft beverages, while soaking up the vibe.
The festival also includes a wine tasting area, gin bar, craft beer bar, live entertainment daily and a range of exhibitions.
Tickets at R100 adults, R80 pensioners and R20 children are available from Computicket or at the door.
