Township’s Mxolisi releases new Afro Soul song

'I am trying to raise awareness to men that they should acknowledge their women and never underestimate their feelings'

Mxolisi Nzimande released a new Afro Soul single called Ndazo, which will be launched on August 4.

The former Kwaito star said he has made a critical decision to venture into the Afro Soul genre.

“I felt Afro Soul is the only genre that will enable me to fully express myself.

“I was inspired by love to move into the genre and Afro Soul is a matured music for me.

“Growing up one gets to a stage whereby one falls in love, gets married, build a family, becomes a husband to someone and a father.

“I have had my mistakes in marriage and that is what inspired the song.

“I have learned my lesson,” said Mxolisi.

He said he made the song to advise men that marriage comes with challenges.

“I am trying to raise awareness to men that they should acknowledge their women and never underestimate their feelings.

“As men, we pay lobola and marry our women but we then neglect them leaving them on their own in the house while we go on chasing nightlife entertainment,” explained Mxolisi.

He said men often realise their mistakes when everything is damaged and when they have lost a good person in their lives.

In the song, Mxolisi is featuring Thomas “TomyV” Mthembu who said it was a privilege for him to work with an experienced artist like Mxolisi.

“The collaboration was not planned. I was in the studio when Mxolisi was working on the song and he allowed me to make an input. The producer liked it and that is how we got to work together,” TomyV explained.

The song was produced by one of Tembisa’s best, Jack Mojapelo.

For people who want to support the launch of the song, they can attend the launch at MT lounge on August 4.
