Con Amore festival promises to be heaps of fun

The festival’s variety of activities is sure to have something fun for everyone.

Get out your diaries and circle the date because Con Amore School has a fun-filled festival planned for September 15.

The school on Sable Street in Ester Park will host a list of events on the day from 8am until 5pm.

Think a variety of children’s entertainment and market stalls.

More of a foodie? Don’t worry, there will be plenty of refreshment stalls too. If you prefer dining in style, a tea garden and pre-booked breakfast have that covered.

For the fitness enthusiasts, a 5km colour run promises to be loads of fun.

Women are also sure to find some relaxation on the day at nails and massage stalls. But don’t worry men, you won’t be bored. A Jeep exhibition, vintage cars and sports cars will make sure of that.

You could be part of all the fun for only R10, excluding the colour run, which will be R50 per person, and the pre-booked breakfast for R45.

All this, for a good cause.

“We are a school for intellectually disabled children and also serve as a resource centre for schools in the area,” said Pauli van der Mescht, a spokesperson for the school.

All proceeds on the day will go towards Con Amore. Entrance tickets will be sold on the day. For more information, contact Van der Mescht at paulivdm@gmail.com
