Ivory Park stage is set for local artists to dazzle

Local rappers will share a stage with DJ Shimza and Nadia Nakai at the 1685 Music Launch.

The countdown to the much-anticipated musical showpiece 1685 Music Launch promises to fill up the Ivory Park Stadium on September 1 at 3pm.

Local rappers will share a stage with DJ Shimza and Nadia Nakai and will also see 100 local rappers battling it out at this event organised by the 1685 Music Group.

“This show is open to all rappers from Ivory Park and the surrounding areas. We are optimistic that this platform will provide to many of our local rappers who have been struggling in securing bookings in the past to become the beneficiaries of the project,” said Sonwabo Manxiwa, a rapper based in Ivory Park.

The rapper, whom many know as Rough the Mystic, said the show is being backed by Mike Mahlo who is also a rapper.

Manxiwa said 1685 is a platform for local rappers.

The line-up of rappers billed to perform at the show include rappers from New Money Records, Sleek, Massive, Money Mike, Neon and many more.

Tickets are sold at Computicket and Shoprite at R100 each.

Alternatively, you may make arrangement to buy a ticket with Sonwabo Manxiwa on 073 883 3995.
