Renowned Spring Taboo event will welcome spring in Tembisa

Sebola Productions brings back the renowned Spring Taboo event that will cheer Tembisans in welcoming spring on September 1 and September 2.

Zandile Mlambo, Sebola Productions’ events coordinator, said this year’s edition is themed as Spring Taboo Rock Dem Shorts and Spring Taboo All White Family Picnic.

“This is going to be the biggest event in South Africa that is held on the first weekend of spring annually.

“Spring Taboo event has turned into a creative hub that aggressively contributes to the township’s economy,” said Mlambo.

She said the event is the second Annual Spring Taboo which combines premium hospitality with local and national musicians, painters, photographers and fashionistas.

“Mostly it brings together spring lovers in a beautiful outdoor venue conveniently located in Tembisa.

“This awesome event entices friends and families seeking a world-class ambience.

“With artists like Oskido, Wanda Baloyi and Dj Merlon in the 1st Annual Spring Taboo, the 2nd Annual Spring Taboo will not be short of magnificent performances,” Mlambo added.

The Spring Taboo Rock Dem Shorts (on September 1) will have performers Shekhinah, Busiswa, Black Motion, PH, Ms Cosmo, Lerato Kganyago and Shimza to name a few.

Spring Taboo All White Family Picnic (on September 2) will have performances by Zonke, Vusi Nova, Mlindo the Vocalist, Bekezela and many more.

“Skhumba, Mashabela Galane and Moshe Ndiki will be the master of ceremonies.

“This two-day event will be nothing short of fun. The event will be held at Moriting Park in Tembisa,” Mlambo explained.

She commends her team for their hard work and thanked the event’s PR officer Sfiso Mkhwanazi, Nonzwakazi Mamela, production assistant, and Mbali Mahlangu, the production’s administrative officer.
