After five years of record audiences in Johannesburg, the South African Tattoo is marching, singing, dancing and performing its way to Pretoria on October 6 and 7.
The audiovisual spectacular will be staged at the Sun Arena at Time Square, Menlyn Maine.This is one of the biggest shows produced in South Africa, running over two days and nights with over 500 performers to dazzle audiences in a 95-minute cultural spectacle redolent of the world-famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Thrill to the stirring sound of massed pipes and drums that traditionally open the show and be captivated by the emotional finale featuring the entire cast of pipes and drums, brass bands, massed highland dancing, military bands, massed choir, an orchestra, a famous singer, thrilling action items and cultural displays from performers around the world.
This year the SA Tattoo is delighted to welcome dance groups from Australia and Switzerland and other surprise acts that regularly perform at international tattoos.

No expense is spared to produce a fascinating display of sound, lighting and special effects, with creatively produced visual projection against a backdrop at stage entrance, giving the effect of ancient castles, spectacular landscapes and enchanting stories of long lost traditions and heroes.
The grand finale brings together all the performers, featuring a solo performance by one of South Africa’s leading artists in a moving display of mass bands and music, played out by the lone piper.
