Tembisa to jazz it up with the best

Tickets will be available for sale at the gate on the date of the event

Mzansi’s jazz music heavyweights will set the Slotjhile Pub and Shisanyama stage alight with some serious jazzing on October 26 during the Tembisa Jazz Festival.

This gig has already set tongues wagging and will see some of the country’s best jazz artists, such as Selaelo Selota and Sipho Hotstix Mabuse, performing.

To spice things up, the organisers of this annual do have thrown in soul and RnB acts such as Samthing Soweto, Zonke and Wilson B Nkosi.

Billed to support these acts, are the likes of TKZee, Benny Mayengani, Jazz Meloz, The Moses Molekwa Jazz Band and Bongani Ngulele.

That’s not all, Somizi will also make an appearance accompanied by top-shelf comedians Mashabela, Skhumba, and Stopnonsons.

Speaking on behalf of Slotjhile Pub and Shisanyama, Tankiso said tickets are already available at Computicket outlets and are selling at R200 each.

“We would like to urge everyone who wants to celebrate with us to consider buying tickets now at Computicket outlets.

“Tickets will, however, be available for sale at the gate on the date of the event, but they will be sold at R350. We are no longer going to have a VIP section because everyone is treated as a VIP here. We are not going to allow any drinks from outside, we will be selling on site. Please note that only empty cooler boxes and camping chairs will be allowed,” said Tankiso.

Gates open at 9am and the show will start at 1pm.
