Festival will pay tribute to jazz legend

Gates to Dries Niemandt Park will open at noon and performances will start at 2pm until late.

Festival lovers will be treated to a day of musical extravaganza in a tribute festival to the jazz legend Dr Johnny Mekoa at Dries Niemandt Park on November 16.

The audience will be entertained to the voices of Zonke, Vusi Nova, Sunday Sessions DJ Paul Mtirara, Paul Hanmer & McCoy, Monk Molelekwa Band and trumpeter Ndumiso Nyovane, among others.

The young talent currently being groomed from the Music Academy of Gauteng will also be showcased.

Tickets cost R350 or R1 700 (VIP), with selected premium whiskies, brandies, gin, wines, food and drinks served at the VIP marquee.

Gates will open at noon and performances will start at 2pm until late.
