The community leader of Winnie Mandela Informal Settlement, Mr Jimmy Kwanaite, explains to The Tembisan Journalist Janji Ngwenyama about the housing corruption that is allegedly taking place at Winnie Mandela, Esselen Park, Vusimusi, Madelakufa 1 and 2 and Freedom Square during the housing allocation of Clayville Extension 45 which started on Thursday.

He explains that most people registered for RDP houses, they received HSS forms that shows prove they are approved.

“Some residents are corrupted houses and nothing happens. HSS forms explain in details that an individual’s house was subsidized and where.

People are sharing 2 in 1 stands.

“We do not have electricity, toilets and water. What surprises is that the very same residents sharing stands, all receive montly statements from Ekurhuleni municipality. We want to know the procedure used to allocate these people that they are claiming are rightful beneficiaries,” he said.
