[Watch] Sea, sand and stuck: Motorist’s 4×4 adventure ends in Baggies Beach rescue

A tractor was needed to rescue a 4x4 motorist who got stuck in the sea on KZN’s South Coast, in clear violation of local by-laws.

A motorist who drove a 4×4 bakkie into the sea at Warner Beach’s Baggies Beach today got more than they bargained for when the vehicle became stuck in the sand.

South Coast Sun reports that, according to eThekwini Municipality by-laws, only authorised officials, emergency vehicles and licensed boat-launching vehicles are permitted to drive on the beach.

The bakkie was eventually towed out by a tractor before police arrived.
