Monica sets a new record in the province

A Nkowankowa learner was named the best performing athlete during the primary schools provincial track and field championship in Polokwane recently.

Monica Novela set a new record in the u/12 150m event for girls.

The 12-year-old athlete was part of the Mopani district team competing against athletes from the other four districts in the province.

Dr Nkhensani Mbhalati, principal of Nkowankowa Primary School was delighted to have one of her learners excel.

Circuit general secretary, Moses Mohale, confirmed that the young athlete will be representing Limpopo during the national primary schools championship in Bloemfontein from 26 to 28 March.
“Monica has proved that Nkowankowa circuit is the home of excellence,” said Mohale.
