SAFCOL gives back

SAFCOL (Komatiland Forests) handed out dignity packs to the female learners of Letaba School for the Disabled on Friday.

This forms part of their Women’s Months projects. Komatiland Forests specializes in forestry, timber-harvesting, timber-processing and related activities. Senior manager for socio-economic development, Hazel Banda, told the girls to embrace their femininity. ‘Be happy with who you are, girls you are very special,’ she said. She advised them about hygiene. All learners were told about bursaries offered at SAFCOL and also job opportunities as soon as they finish school. She used Promise Mkhwanazi (who used to go to the school) as an example that indeed there are jobs suitable for them. Deputy Principal, Suzen Thuketana said they were thankful for the donations. The girls showed their appreciation by singing thanksgiving songs.
