YOU don’t need to be the next Picasso or Rembrandt to enter the GTM Library Competition 2014. To enter, simply draw a picture of someone reading. All entries are judged on creativity and originality, not artistic merit.

The competition is open for grade 1 to grade 11, with a winner being selected in each grade. Pictures may be drawn in any medium, including pencil, coloured pencil, ink and pastels. Your picture may be of someone reading anything at all! Some suggestions include: books, computer screens, street signs, medical prescriptions, newspapers, magazines, letters, maps, recipes, food labels, notice boards, posters and product information. Entries must be handed in at the Tzaneen, Letsitele, Haenertsburg or Shiluvane Library by October 3. Your picture must be submitted along with the following information: name, school, grade, telephone number and school’s telephone number.

Winners will be announced and prizes distributed in November.

For any enquiries phone 015 307 8050.
