Maake murder accused arrested

Police in Maake have arrested a 22 year-old man and charged him with two counts of murder and another two for attempted murder.

Phetole David Sekgobela of Tickeyline Village is alleged to have committed a series of crimes at Tickyline and Nabane Village during February. 

Maake police spokesperson, Constable Rufus Magoro said the police received a tip off from the community and it led to the arrest of the suspect in the early hours of Friday.

He said the police later recovered two firearms which are linked to the crimes.

The suspect appeared before Naphuno Magistrate Court on Monday and his case was remanded to Friday for bail application.

His accomplice Masilu Rabopape is still at large and police are looking for him.
