Three houses destroyed by fire
Angry villagers at Ga-Sekgopo went on rampage on Sunday morning, burning down three houses belonging to alleged criminals terrorising the community.
This after three young men were accused of unleashing a reign of terror on the community and of being responsible for the killing of a young man in the village last week.
According to the police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, the community mobilised and set fire to the houses belonging to the families of the three young men.
At the time of going to press, no one has been arrested and police were investigating cases of arson and public violence.
He warned members of the community to refrain from taking the law into their own hands but instead, report their concerns to the police management.
He added that police are continuing to closely monitor the situation in the village.
