Man arrested for raping biological daughter

According to the police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, the suspect from Turkey village in Maake was arrested on Sunday after the social worker reported the matter to the police.

It is alleged that the suspect started raping the girl in March this year.

“The man would follow the victim to the nearby mountains where she goes to collect fire woods and raped her ,” said Ngoepe.

He allegedly threatened the victim not to tell anyone until the matter was brought to the attention of a social worker who reported to the police.

The suspect was due to appear before the Naphuno Magistrate Court at the time of going to press.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
