Make dad feel appreciated this Father’s Day

Whether it is going fishing, learning to dance or just having simple fun, most people have fond memories of the special men in their lives.

Today isĀ  Father’s Day and we get the chance to celebrate fathers, grandfathers, uncles and even brothers who mean a lot to us.

Father’s Day has been around for more than 100 years, which is of course after Mother’s Day was initially created.

Traditionally, Father’s Day means breakfast in bed, another pair of socks or a ‘best dad ever’ mug, but what most men really want is simple.

Let him relax, meaning no chores or having to fix anything.

Ladies, show him how much you love and appreciate him, something small like a massage or his favourite dinner.

Make him the main focus and spend time with him, ask him what he would like to do.

Do something special for him, you don’t have to spend money on expensive gifts, write a thank you note or make a home video, make the whole family part of it.

Make him feel appreciated, that is what he will remember.

After all, it only happens once a year.
