Maake police on the lookout for mob killers
The Police in Maake outside Tzaneen are still tracing a group suspected of killing a house breaker.
The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning at around 02:30 at Tickeyline village,in Sekororo area.
It is alleged that the deceased and his friend entered a house of an elderly woman through a window and attacked her.
They demanded money in the process the woman screamed for help , the community members came in their numbers and assaulted the deceased to death.
The friend of the deceased managed to escape and has since disappeared.
The deceased is identified as 26 year-old Modibe Rakgoale of Madeira village in the Sekororo area.
“The police would like to condemn these acts by some members of the community of taking the law into their on hands instead of arresting and calling the police or calling the police to come and arrest that suspected person, I edge the community to stop this tendency because it damages the community and the police relations to fight crime effectively.”
The suspects are still unknown and the Police asks anyone with information to contact Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe on 082 414 2088.
