UPDATE: Video footage of the hunt for the last escapee

The Police in Letsitele have launched a massive manhunt for the two escapees who escaped from the Police Station holding cells yesterday afternoon

Update: 12.00- Second escapee apprehended

Another escapee was arrested according to Marius Jacobs from Northern Security.

The escapee was hiding in a cave, close to Letsitele, Jacobs told the Herald

The manhunt for the one more escapee is still on.

‘Three awaiting awaiting trial prisoners escaped through the roof of the exercise room by cutting the mesh wire. Ike’ Ngobeni aged 27 years old from Mozambique who was arrested for two counts of house robberry, rape and two counts of housebreaking and theft residence, was re-arrested this morning, according to Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

Bethuel Simango (25) and Muye Makgopa (26) is still at large.

A special task’ team was established to track down the two prisoners.

Anyone who knows about their whereabouts, cancontact Captain Masilo Notoane at 082 469 0900 or the nearest Police Station or the crime stop number–086 001 0111.
