Modjadjiskloof: Angry mob torched police station

An angry mobbed torched a police station outside Modjadjiskloof.

Four suspects aged between 23 and 36 were arrested  on a charge of murder that was committed at a local liquor outlet on Saturday.

‘This is the murder that resulted in the mob killing of a 29 year-old man and the attack on a satellite police station. In an operation that is being jointly conducted between the police and members from the liquor board, the liquor outlet where the murder was committed was subsequently closed,’ the police said.

The police are currently following some leads on the mob killing, arson and public violence cases.

More arrests are expected.
