HAENERTSBURG: Toddler found alive in forest

A 18 month old toddler was found alive and well this afternoon after he disappeared in a forest in the Haenertsburg area.

A young mothers anguish and anxiety turned into happiness and joy this afternoon after her 18 month old son who disappeared from their home was found alive and well.

‘The mother was feeding her young son on the steps of their home in the plantations of the area when she briefly went into the house. When she came back out the boy was gone,’ Col Ronel Otto said.

The help of the K 9 unit of the SAPS as well as the Diggers Rest Forrest team were called in.

The boy was found alive and well and reunited with his family late this afternoon, Otto said.
