UPDATE: School principal killed outside court-suspect arrested

UPDATE: Man arrested for murder of school principal outside court.

The police have arrested a 36 year old suspect who allegedly stabbed and killed a deputy school principal in front of Lenyenye Magistrate court outside Tzaneen.

According to information, the  principal, was appearing as an accused in a taxi- related case when he asked the court to allow him to contact his lawyer who was not in court at the time.

“In what appeared to be a vengeance attack, the deceased was stabbed by the suspect at the entrance of the court room as he was about to make the call. He was not in custody. The deceased managed to  get back into the court room, walked through to the magistrate’s office where he collapsed and died. The suspect was immediately arrested,” the police said.
