Donkeys used again to try and smuggle car into Zim

'The police have succeeded in recovering yet another vehicle before it could be smuggled into Zimbabwe across the Limpopo river,' the police said.

‘A New shape Mercedes Benz sedan C220 was intercepted just in time before disappearing into Zimbabwe,’ Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said.

The suspects were using donkeys to pull the car across the river but SAPS members were just in time to pounce on them after the donkeys were apparently no longer able to pull it through the sand.

‘The suspects fled into the bushes towards the Zimbabwe side,’ Mojapelo said.

Police investigations are continuing.
