Bolobedu SAPS excel at National Service Excellence Awards Ceremony

One of the night’s biggest winners was the Station Commander of Bolobedu Police Station, Colonel Kgashane David Mahlaola.

Six SAPS members walked away with awards at the ceremony, held at the International Convention Centre in Durban on Saturday night.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo says members of the South African Police Service in Limpopo made an indelible mark during the awards.

One of the night’s biggest winners was the Station Commander of Bolobedu Police Station, Colonel Kgashane David Mahlaola, who Mojapelo says put police in Limpopo in the history books, by becoming the Disabled Employee of the Year.

“Despite being disabled (he became disabled after he was shot on duty), Colonel Mahlaola managed to beat all his counterparts in the categories of visible policing,” Mojapelo said.
