TAKE NOTE: No more licence discs for vehicles with “N” plates

The Department of Transport says motorists who intend to renew their licence discs, who still have the ‘N’ mark will be expected to buy new number plates, the Northern Review reports.

The MEC for Transport, Makome Makhurupetje, says this decision is in line with the discontinuation of the N-license mark.

The ‘L’ licence number system was introduced as a result of the province’s name change from Northern Province to Limpopo, in terms of the constitution, signed by the president on 9 April 2003.
