WARNING: R40 blocked by protesters close to Casteel
HOEDSPRUIT: Reports suggest that the protests may last until Monday.
It is reported that the R40 road at Casteel, close to Acornhoek, is blocked by protesters.
Road users are advised to use an alternative route.
The R36 road via the Strydom Tunnel is open but please be advised that natural rock falls have occurred this morning so please take care when driving on that route.

Reports suggest that the protests may last until Monday and it is said that the demonstrations are due to lack of service delivery.
