LETSITELE: Bakkie and car collide leaving ten injured

Several people, including four children, were found walking around on the scene.

Ten people were left injured Sunday night, April 29 when a bakkie and car collided on the R71 near the Du Rooi junction outside of Letsitele.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle on the side of the road against the barriers while a bakkie was found lying on its roof in the middle of the road.

“Several people, including four children, were found walking around on the scene. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that ten had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate,” ER24 said.

Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
