TZANEEN: Serious accident disrupts traffic on R71
WATCH: A major accident has occurred at the Deerpark R71 T-junction this morning bringing peak hour traffic to a standstill.
A major accident has occurred at the Deerpark R71 T-junction early this morning, Friday, February 8 bringing peak hour traffic to a standstill.
An eye-witness, Johan Jansen van Vuuren, told the LETABA HERALD that the accident involved a truck, an Opel and another red car.
“It looks like the truck ran into the Opel – which had two passengers inside. Unfortunately, it looks like the one passenger is stuck in the car and the other passenger, a lady, seems to have serious injury to her legs,” said Jansen van Vuuren.
Jansen van Vuuren also told the HERALD that he saw the red car stuck in the road barriers and that it seems like the passengers got out of the car with minor injuries.

The HERALD contacted Police Captain Moseri for comment, but he said that they are still gathering information.
The traffic is at a standstill, more information to follow.
