TZANEEN: Ditshosing welcomes new pavement project
The project was done last year with a budget of R13 million and it was a 1.8 km long road.
The Mayor of the Greater Letaba Municipality, Councillor Peter Matlou, embarked on meeting the needs of one of the communities that fall under his municipality on Monday.
Matlou handed over Ditshosing Phase 2 Pavement project to the Ditshosing community.
The event, coupled with the IDP and Budget Consultation was aimed at allowing the community members to utilize the road having ownership to it officially.
The project was done last year with a budget of R13 million and it was a 1.8 km long road.

The mayor indicated that these kind of milestones are very significant to the people in the villages, as this is one of their greatest mandate as local government.
“Our people’s everyday cry is proper road infrastructure, water, sanitation, high mast light and other services. If we are able to at least bring some of these services to the people we give them hope that all services will eventually go to them. We are here as government to serve them, which is why we welcome inputs in our IDP and Budget programmes so that we can give the people exactly what they want”, exclaimed Matlou.
