WATCH: Leopard standing up on her hind legs – looking for her cub

This Leopard was seen standing up on her hind legs aka Meerkat- style, looking for her cub in the tall grass.

This video was taken in the Serengeti Game Reserve in Tanzania and not in Kruger National Park, South Africa.

This Leopard was seen standing up on her hind legs aka Meerkat- style, looking for her cub in the tall grass. She did this seven times.

“I was on game drive along the Serengeti with my clients from China. In the area known as the Maasai kopjes (outcrops) in central Serengeti, we met this leopard with her cub of several months old. We had other cars also on the scene. The Leopard mom was coming down from the rock outcrops then they lost each other when her cub tried to avoid the vehicles. Then the Leopard crossed the road in front of my car, after which she could not see her cub. That’s then the reason she kept standing up every time while searching (the grass was higher on that area as you can see on the video). Later on they were able to meet each other but not close to we were and I could not catch the scene from my position.” – Video taker, Steve Nyahega a field ranger said on YouTube.
