Theo de Jager to lead World Farmers’ Organisation for second term

Dr Theo de Jager from Tzaneen as been re-elected as president for the World Farmers Organisation (WFO) in Luxembourg.

The WFO is an organisation of agricultural producers that aims to strengthen farmers’ positions within value chains, with a particular focus on smallholder farmers.

De Jager was elected as President in 2017 and is the first South African to have this honour.

It is the first time in the history of the WFO that  a president gets re-elected.
