Tzaneen: Jetty 3 is barricaded
Issues surrounding the safety of the building were raised when Herald recently reported on the building.

The municipality is going to barricade Jetty 3 due to unsafe conditions until a plan to revive it is in place.
The building seemed to be on the verge of collapsing due to an expanding crack at the bottom of the building and an unstable roof. There has also been multiple complaints of people occupying the building after hours.

According to spokesperson of the Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Neville Ndlala, they have requested the security company responsible for the area to do more surveillance and there seem to be an
improvement, he said.
The municipality will communicate the plan to revive Jetty 3 once it has been finalised. While the plan is being revised, the area will be barricaded and no one will be allowed near the building.
