YOUTH MONTH: Katekile is a young mover and shaker

Katekile Mathye is the founder of Theledi Beverages which produces a well-known water brand, Mati.

The business purifies, bottles and sells water to the public, government, lodges, hotels, local shops.

They also sell bottled water with personalised labels for funerals, weddings, kiddies’ parties and other events.

She currently has two branches in Nkowankowa and Lenyenye.

The idea to sell water came after she got tired of buying purified water in town at R1 per litre, while she still had to buy fuel to get there.

She holds a BCom in Economics from the University of Limpopo and have five young employees. Katekile is passionate about young people becoming employers rather than being employees.

“As young people solutions come naturally to us, a challenge becomes an opportunity.

My advice to young people is that you have to work hard and give it your all.
