ANC Limpopo behind Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa officially launched the Letsema campaign at a jammed-packed Nkowankowa Stadium on Saturday.

According to him the campaign is the ruling party’s way of reaching out to communities to win back the people’s confidence. He commanded ANC members to start to serve the people once again and for the branches to get their act together in order to remain relevant.

His visit started with a royal visit to Hosi Ribye Muhlava, before heading to L.B Kubayi pre-school in Nkowankowa, where he interacted with young children. He further visited the Tlangelani old age home, went to Letaba Hospital to check on the quality of medical services and also addressed traditional leaders at Tivumbeni Hall.

With three months to the ANC’s national conference in Gauteng where the party will vote for their new leadership, Ramaphosa said only the branches will decide if he will serve for a second term. When asked about members of parliament who are campaigning for him to step down because of the PhalaPhala game farm corruption allegations, he said he does not have a problem with an investigation, as long as it is within the boundaries of the law.

Among some of the matters that he touched on were corruption and unemployment. He said government is working tirelessly to address these issues.
He was accompanied by the minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula; minister of Agriculture, Thoko Didiza; minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Ronald Lamola; and Limpopo premier and Stanley Mathabatha.
