Mokgalaka keeps on winning

Nothing can stop Frans du Toit teacher, Alfred Mokgalaka, as he won yet another prestigious award.

He was named the best teacher at the SADTU Provincial Excellence Awards which were held at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane recently. Mokgalaka told the Herald he is overwhelmed with the win, and he feels blessed. He is the reigning Best National Teacher of the Year in the country, and he will be representing South Africa at the Global Teacher Awards in Dubai later in the year.

He was nominated by the Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga as the perfect candidate to represent the country’s teachers on a global scale. He recently started a podcast, called Moca Talk on a variety of topics and has gained a huge following throughout the country. “The podcast gives a platform to people to voice their opinion on things that are happening in society. “We talk about business, health, arts, and other great topics. “We will soon feature speakers from Africa tackling issues that affect Africans.”
