A Seshego man was arrested following Ritavi school robberies that left one suspect dead, while the other two remain at large.

LIMPOPO – Ritavi police have launched a manhunt for two suspects following a string of business robberies, an attempted burglary, and a murder at three schools in the local policing area during the early hours of Sunday, September 28.

Between midnight and 04:00, three armed suspects targeted the schools, stealing laptops and cellphones. At around 03:00, the suspects attempted to break into the administration block of one school.

According to reports, the on-duty security guard became suspicious after noticing the suspects. When approached, the suspects allegedly fired shots in his direction before fleeing. The guard later discovered one of the suspects lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Paramedics certified him dead at the scene. A post-mortem will determine the exact cause of death.
