Lekompo vs Piano All Black event coming up

The Lekompo vs Piano All Black music event debuts in Limpopo in December at Nkowankowa Stadium, featuring top artists and a fusion of genres.

LIMPOPO – Music enthusiasts from across Limpopo are invited to attend the upcoming Lekompo vs Piano All Black event, scheduled for December 13 at Nkowankowa Stadium.

This will be the first time the event is held in Limpopo, following its debut in September in Zeerust in the North-West.

Ntsako Mongwe, the event’s marketing manager, told the Herald that they wanted to bring the event home to Limpopo, giving local music lovers the chance to enjoy a mix of popular local and international sounds.

Lekompo is a music style that originated in Bolobedu, while amapiano is a globally recognised genre that started in South Africa and has since gained worldwide popularity.

The event will also feature Xigaza music, a traditional style from the Tsonga people.

“We aimed to create a fusion of these different sounds to give people a fun and unique experience as the festive season kicks off,” Mongwe explained.

In the lead-up to the event, the team is running a promotional campaign visiting schools and donating groceries and school shoes to learners.

The lineup includes popular artists such as Sheshxt, Shadesh, Karishma, Janesh, CK, Janisto, Simefree, Benny Mayengani, and several performers from Botswana.

Early bird tickets are available until October 31 at the following prices: R150 for general admission, R700 for VIP, and R900 for VVIP. After this date, prices will increase to R200 for general, R800 for VIP, and R1000 for VVIP.

Tickets can be purchased through Computicket, Shoprite, and Checkers, or physically at Galaxy Exclusive Lodge in Nkowankowa. For more information about the event or to book stalls, contact 064 780 4048.
