Merensky dominates Gauteng with 22 wins

Merensky Agricultural Academy won 22 of 26 divisions at the Gauteng Interschools Youth Show, from meat goats to crochet and photography.

Learners from Merensky Agricultural Academy delivered outstanding performances at the Gauteng Interschools Youth Show hosted by Bekker High School on May 8 and 9.

Despite freezing early mornings, the academy’s learners showed determination and enthusiasm throughout the competition. From written tests to animal preparation and showmanship, Merensky’s “Plasies” once again proved their dedication to agriculture and excellence under pressure.

22 out of 26 divisions won

The academy achieved remarkable success by winning 22 of the 26 divisions contested at the event.

National Youth Show coming to Plasieland

The school also announced that it is preparing to host the National Youth Show on Plasieland for the first time at the end of September, where agricultural schools from across South Africa will compete.

School management congratulated all learners and coaches on their achievements and commitment throughout the competition.
