Mamaswa turns her teenagehood sufferings into wealth

Suffering from acne at an early age in her life turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Mamaswa Kimberly Selematsela as she turned her suffering into wealth.

After years of searching for the best skincare treatment, Selematsela found that her own essential oils and organic products worked the best for her problem skin. She eventually founded Keeks Skins Solutions, which specialises in solving skin problems such as acne, dark spots, uneven skin, stretch marks and discolouration among others.

“After going through the hardship of having bad skin as a young woman, I hope to restore young women’s confidence in themselves through my products. “I was once called ‘peanut face’ in high school by my friends and that really broke my confidence,” she said. She was born in Madumeleng village outside Modjadjiskloof, but was raised in Ebony Park in Midrand. She told the Herald that Keeks Skins Solutions is formulated to treat skin problems that vary from individual to individual.

“Each product consists of organic ingredients and essential oils that are designed to assist in different skin solutions,” she added.

Selematsela said that results may vary as people have different skin types.

Women who suffer from hormonal and clinical problems would need to consult a certified dermatologist to diagnose, she said.

She further added that she is humbled by the support that she has received from people all over the country, including her home town.

Her drive comes from seeing people reaping results from her products. She says she won’t stop until her clients gain their confidence back.
