Gauteng: Reports on Enock Mpianzi’s drowning reveal wrongdoing
MEC Panyaza Lesufi said that forensic reports reveal wrongdoing by those given the mandate to care for children.
Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi revealed on 19 February that the much-anticipated forensic report on the drowning of Enock Mpianzi revealed wrongdoing by those given the mandate to take care of children, Rosebank Killarney Gazette reports.
According to reports, Lesufi previewed some findings saying, “We received the report over the weekend. I don’t want to get into details, but it’s quite clear that there is lots and lots of wrongdoing by those who have been given the mandate to take care of our children.”
Enock (13) drowned in the Crocodile River while attending a Grade 8 Orientation Camp for Parktown Boys’ High School at Nyati Bush and River Break in Brits.
Lesufi is expected to release the full report at 6 pm on 20 February in Parktown.
