Stageworx Performing Arts school in Johannesburg’s students came together during the lockdown, from their homes, to do a virtual recording of “The ultimate South African song medley” which is made up of 28 iconic songs by local music legends spanning over 50 years.
Some of the songs the 50 students sing are, Phata Phata, Sarie Marais, African Dream, Kaptein and World in Union to name a few.
Furthermore, they feature songs from artists like Yvonne Chaka Chaka, PJ Powers, Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Mandoza, Johnny Clegg and many more.
“We are so excited to lend our voice to the Sponsors of Brave campaign headed by Adcock Ingram, who are proudly supporting our healthcare professionals in the fight against Covid-19,” the school said on their Facebook page.
“This was an exciting project for our students and alumni to be part of and we are so proud of their involvement and passion. Thank you to the wonderful music artists and their timeless music that unites a nation through difficult times.”
