Electricity power cuts was experienced in some parts of Randfontein on Friday.

The herald can state that the load shedding does not come from the municipality – it is Eskom doing their scheduled maintenance and load shedding.

The Randfontein Local Municipality is looking into providing the herald with the load shedding schedule for Randfontein, however, the municipality suggested that the Eskom website be checked for a schedule.

While there is no schedule or contact details for Randfontein on the website, it states the Randfontein area is currently load shedding in stage two.
